Toyota Tundra

 ModelToyota Tundra
What things have gone wrong with the car?Extremely bad brakes. 5 complete brake re-do's in three years. Soft mushy brake peddle. Although I can't prove it caused a rear end collision. First time in 30 + years of driving that I hit someone in the rear. The brakes weren??™t there when I needed them. Many quite recalls. Bad brakes, CD player, shocks, dip stick, design flaws inside and out. Engine noise Cold-blooded transmission, up shifts to soon when cold, ok when warmed up. The Tundra will leave you sitting at stop light with no throttle response due to poor design in the throttle body sensors. None of the vaunted Toyota quality and religability in this truck.

General comments?I feel sorry for the Dealers that have to deal with all the problems and angry owners. Fortunately my dealer has been great. But they have to deal with poor design and build quality just as we owners do. I will not buy another Tundra, and may not buy any other Toyota either. Toyota should fess up to the design flaws and treat us in an honest and straightforward manner. I have had to replace the CD player, shocks, seat belts, and put up with bad brakes, noisy tappets, weird unexplained noises, clunks and rattles and a wrong sized dip stick.
My truck is in the shop today as I am writing this for the throttle body sensor malfunction that left me sitting at a traffic light. Toyota's extended leaves a lot to be desired. Very UN cooperative. So do yourself a big favor and buy something.
