| | | General comments? | After we bought our Toyota Tundra, I posted a review with how unhappy we were with the truck. Now after owning it for a few years, there are other things popping up with it. When the brakes get hot, there is a bad vibration in the brakes when applied. The radio anntena came loose, the paint keeps chipping off and the dealership tells us that it's "Just the clear coat finish", but it goes right to the metal. There is a noise coming from the dash, and the passenger door that becomes very annoying. We replaced the shocks on the front end last week, which beefed it up a lot, but cost us over $300.00 canadian just for the front two, plus it took the mechanic about four hours to put in. They are not shocks but struts, and they are tough to remove and replace. Compared to what the front end used to be like, this money was well spent, it now rides like a pick-up should. If anyone has a problem with air noise at certain speeds, if you have a bug deflector, that is where the noise is coming from, and not a leak in the windshield. The best gas mileage we've had was 28, not too bad for a truck! | | | Previous car | 1988 Ford 4x4, 1993 Toyota T-100 |
