| | Model | Toyota Tundra | | | What things have gone wrong with the car? | The Dunlop tires suck! They are too soft and don't have great snow traction. The paint is tissue paper thin and chips easily. The suspension doesn't have a lot of travel and sometimes bottoms out over the big stuff. Shocks are too soft and it sometimes wallows on the highway (get the TRD package). Back seat is smallish. | | | | |
| | | General comments? | I have driven this truck for 18-months and despite a few problems the truck is awesome. I have 31,600 miles to date. By far the best tuck I have ever driven. The only truck that is as good in my opinion in performance is the Chevy Silvoardo. The engine is super smooth and powerful. The engine hauls with power to spare. The interior is library quiet in all driving situations. The seats are some of the most comfortable seats I have been in. Everything seems to be made well. The switches, doors, and other moving parts have that quality feel. The transmission is always in the right gear no matter what my foot is doing with the gas pedal.
The problems I have had to date are. My exhaust manifold cracked but it's under warranty, My seatbelts sometimes stick. Replaced under warranty. My rear drums are being replaced under warranty. I have a ticking noise from under the truck. | | | Previous car | Chevy Silvorado, Dodge Ram 5.9. Have driven a Ford F-150 a few times. |
