| | Model | Toyota Tundra SR5 4x4 | | | What things have gone wrong with the car? | Pickup bed several inches shallower than others. Front seats have limited adjustment features. Difficult to find a permanent, comfortable driving position. Tundra needs more flexibility in configuration, ie. engine, trim, bed size, tire and wheel options, transmission cooler, etc. to be competitive with other full-size trucks. A seriously annoying (and it appears ongoing since the 2000 model year) vibration problem on braking and accelerating. Toyota says they are working on a permanent fix but dealers have been kept in the dark about exactly what the problem is and when they will do something about it. | | | | |
| | | General comments? | Excellent overall quality. I have 15000 miles on the truck and have successfully used it to tow 2000 lb. camper with 700 lb load in bed plus 2 passengers. Plenty of power. Handling is on a par with other full size trucks but my last Ford Ranger handled better.
